Helen Barry is a Sydney-based content creator with an eclectic background in film, TV, theatre, fine art and print journalism.
As a film editor she spent more than a decade assisting on features and TV dramas (The Illustrated Family Doctor, The Hard Word and Water Rats), and cut everything from short films to music videos (Like I Do, 28 Days), before transitioning to writing and subediting for magazines.
Her words have appeared in editorial for ACP Magazines titles (Qantas The Australian Way, Foxtel, Optus and Austar) and in advertorial for a diverse mix of clients – from real estate developers to French footwear entrepreneurs. She was recently the senior subeditor of the Qantas in-flight magazine at Bauer Media.
On the web she’s managed content for a commercial art gallery and been a music and theatre critic for Australian Stage.
Reframing, ever so slightly, she’s now also into stills photography, after recently honing her digital skills at the Australian Centre For Photography.
Her ethos is simple: words + pictures is where the magic happens.
From one blog post to an entire website, Helen Barry can whip up words + pictures to cut through the noise and get you noticed online.
If it’s web content you need, rest assured she can create it!
And if you’re on a tight budget, and don’t have the dosh for a pricey web designer, she can also whip up a WordPress website complete with SEO tags (that’s fancy tech speak for Search Engine Optimisation – how Google finds you online).
Basically she’s a words + pictures and website one-stop shop, which saves you time and money without sacrificing that crucial component: quality.
